Golden Acorn Awards

Nominations are now open for 2024

Submit a nomination here!

Nominations close Friday, April 19th, 2024!

Each year, our Discovery PTSA recognizes people who are exemplary volunteers, educators and advocates in the Discovery community. Now is your chance to nominate them to be recognized for their passionate work and dedication!

Please take time to nominate a Discovery staff or volunteer today! It means so much to our community to be recognized for their hard work on contribution to our great school. Ask your kids who they would like to nominate and help them with the submission. We welcome entries from anyone in our community - parents/caregivers, staff, volunteers, and students too!

The Awards Categories

Golden Acorn for Volunteers - for volunteers who have given outstanding service to all students in the Discovery community and for going above and beyond.

Outstanding Educator - for any Discovery teacher or staff member who goes beyond the normal expectations of their job to make the learning environment fun, beneficial, and challenging.

Outstanding Advocate - for individuals (staff or volunteers) who serve ALL Discovery students through a commitment to help create strong policies relating to the health, welfare, safety, and education of children in our school community.
