Welcome Back, Discovery Eagles

We are incredibly proud of how hard our teachers and staff have been working to bring the best possible remote-learning experience to each and every student. And while the school year has only just begun, we’ve seen just how dedicated everyone is to making this an outstanding year. 

As the school year looks different, so does your Discovery PTSA. Normally, we’d be kicking off our fall fundraiser right now, but we’re pausing that effort until we can best determine how PTSA funds can support our school. 

However, raising funds for our school can still happen! Read on for ways you can easily support Discovery. 

Making A Difference

Here are THREE simple ways you can contribute to Discovery:

• Become a member of the PTSA: if you’re not familiar with the PTSA, we are a non-profit made up of the Discovery community (parents, teachers, staff and students) with the common goal of ensuring every child gets an enriching education. Becoming a member is easy...show your support and join today by clicking here. 
• Purchase Spirit Wear: whether learning at home or at school, there’s one thing that connects us all: our Eagle pride! Show off your school spirit with fun tie-dye shirts or a cozy zip hoodie. Pricing ranges from $14 to $32, with your Discovery PTSA earning a portion of the proceeds. Click here to see the spirit wear options and place your order before September 16. 
• Use AmazonSmile: when buying from Amazon on your desktop or mobile devices, make sure you have the AmazonSmile feature enabled. There is no mark-up on items, and your Discovery PTSA receives a portion of each sale. Visit our facebook or Instagram pages for a tutorial. 

Book Donation

Back in June, your Discovery PTSA committed to donating $500 worth of books written by Black authors to our Discovery library. This small act is just one way we can show our support is behind Black Lives Matter, both with our Black students and our community at large. 

These books have been delivered to our library and we can’t wait for your students to be able to check them out (hopefully in the near future)!
