DISCOVERY ELEMENTARY STEM FAIR
March 21st, 2018

Grades K- 3rd: 5:00 - 6:00 PM
Grades 4th& 5th: 6:30 - 7:30 PM

It's time for the first ever Discovery Elementary STEM Fair (formerly known as Science Fair)! All students are encouraged to participate by working on a STEM project or demonstration at home, and displaying it proudly at the fair. The STEM Fair is an excellent opportunity for our students to explore science, engineering and technology concepts.

What is STEM and why is it important?
STEM curriculum is based on 4 specific disciplines of educational success – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Washington State is national STEM leader and the state ranks 2nd in STEM jobs throughout the country. At Discovery Elementary we are committed to preparing our students for better academic and job potential through creative problem solving, mathematical vigor, engineering practices, and scientific exploration.

This STEM Fair is non-competitive.
Each participant will present their project to a judge, and each will receive a certificate.
