Each year,  Discovery  Elementary  PTSA  recognizes people who have given exemplary volunteer and educational service to children and youth in our school. Discovery PTSA is pleased to present DISCOVERY’S GOT TALENT!  Students K-5 th grade are invited to create one solo 60 second act or a group 90-second act for our school talent show. To participate students must commit to BOTH an audition and rehearsal before the performance. Karate West's "Parent’s Night Out" Monthly Fundraiser
Karate West in Issaquah is offering a Parent’s Night Out every month with 100% of the proceeds going to Discovery PTSA. We received many amazing works of art for this year's Reflections program. The theme was "Heroes Around Me." Now, we have the hard task of scoring entries.  Anyone can judge entries  by simply stopping by the school, signing in at the office, and using the scoring sheets inside the judging binder in the library. The binder is located to your right as you enter the library on the cabinet behind the librarian's desk. Visitors and Volunteers Need to Bring A Picture ID to School The Issaquah School District is taking steps to ensure the safety of our children by implementing new security measures. Starting Jan.28, 2019,  visitors AND volunteers ,  must: Enter through Trailer 1 (Main Office) Show your picture ID  – your ID will be scanned into the school system and a photo ID sticker will be printed for you to wear while you are on school property. Five classrooms still need Art Docent volunteers. Can you help?
We are currently looking for 1-2 volunteers to serve as an Art Docent in each classroom.  The following classes do not have docents: Kim (1st grade), Yamamoto (1st grade), Flett (2nd grade), Hoffman (3rd grade), and Ogden (5th grade).  The Art Docent Program gives students hands-on learning experiences that enrich their development.
